Are the Season 06 battle pass weapons worth unlocking in Warzone?
Season 06: The Haunting began on 17 September 2026 and brought two new guns through its battle pass: the VMP submachine gun and the TR51 Para assault rifle. New battle pass weapons are not always strong, but this season one of them went straight to the top. If you are deciding where to spend your remaining battle pass progress, or which gun to level next, this guide shows exactly where each one stands.
The short answer: the VMP is the one you want. It is the number one close range weapon on the public tracker this season. The TR51 Para is a solid A tier rifle, worth using if you like it, but it sits behind the meta rifles for long range.

VMP: the best close range gun in Warzone this season
The VMP is new in the Season 06 battle pass and went straight to number one for close range on the tracker, ahead of the MPC-25, REV-46 and Ryden 45K. The build runs without an optic, putting the slots into the muzzle, barrel, underbarrel, magazine and stock instead, so it is set up for fast, aggressive fights inside buildings and on rooftops.

What happens when Modern Warfare 4 arrives
Modern Warfare 4 joins Warzone with its Season 1 update, reported for 6 November 2026. From then, guns from earlier games lose Gunsmith and use a fixed five-attachment version, so these builds stop applying.
